Module 7B: Setting up a Sensory Corner

Themed umbrellas and blackout tents are two portable environments you can quickly and easily use to create a mini sensory environment. You can still utilize a corner of your classroom to create a sensory space and think of an umbrella or tent as an extension of this.

Plain umbrellas can reduce sensory overload and themed umbrellas can support the curriculum.

Blackout tents can also support in similar ways.
